Hello Out readers!

No, despite what you may have heard, Bowen Yang was not making fun of Chappell Roan on SNL this week.

Saturday Night Live returned this week for the first episode of its 50th season, with host Jean Smart. One of the biggest stories coming out of the episode was Bowen Yang's supposed "mocking" of Chappell Roan in a Weekend Update bit where he dressed up like viral baby hippo Moo Deng and complained about feeling "like an animal in a zoo."

However, if you paid attention to the bit, it was clear Yang was defending Roan, saying that people are treating this human woman like she's a zoo animal.

He ended the bit by saying "Leave her alone! Let her take as much time as she needs for her mental health. We both deserve patience and grace, so stop harassing her, and stop throwing shellfish at her."

Sounds like great advice.

Now, onto the news.
