Pornstars start your engines, and may the best woman win!
Looks like gay porn and drag are uniting in a bit of the ultimate showdown as eight adult actors will compete in the 2020 Miss Pineapple Pageant, a drag pageant benefiting Pineapple Support. With RuPaul's Drag Race's The Vixen, porn director Mr. Pam, as well the Cock Destroyers' Sophie as judges, the event will be hosted by Sister Roma and Marc Macnamara.
"This is the perfect antidote to the stress and trauma faced by so many of us in the past few months," Leya Tanit, founder of Pineapple Support, a free support and therapy service for those working in the online adult industry, said in a statement. "I'm incredibly thankful to the Falcon/NakedSword team for helping put on this fundraiser, which will provide crucial support to LGBTQ+ and other performers who are struggling, and I am excited to see the transformations!"
The pageant will be made up of eight "Queens of Porn," all competing for the title. And while we don't know the intricacies of every performer's drag performance, right out the gate it seems that a few may have a slightly unfair advantage: Levi Karter has done drag under the name Sassy Frass meaner for a few years now. And while we aren't sure how much they've done drag themselves, Beaux and Calvin Banks are in the same porn family as Brock Banks, who definitely knows his way around a brush! (Apparently Steven Lee has been doing drag in Colarado for about a year under the name Kara MascKara.) Then again, this all seems to be just for fun and benefiting a good cause.
The pageant will air on Sunday, July 5, 2020 at 6 p.m. EDT/ 3 p.m. PDT. It will be available to watch on the NakedSword site or the Naked Sword Twitch channel. Sponsorship donations will go towards Pineapple Support.
