The film Unlimited Courage celebrates the U.S. men's national team’s first trans athlete, Chris Mosier.
With the 2016 Summer Olympics well underway in Rio, inspiring stories of courage from all over the world are coming to light. One such story takes place right here in the U.S. Chris Mosier recently became the first transgender athlete to make the U.S. men's national team after challenging their policy, resulting in more inclusive guidelines for trans athletes.
"Being the first trans man on a U.S. men's national team was a dream come true for me," Mosier told Nike. "I always wanted my name on a jersey. To represent our country at the highest level, in my sport, is just outstanding. It's just such an amazing opportunity--and an amazing opportunity for other people to see themselves reflected in someone succeeding in sports as a trans man."
Nike has helped bring Mosier's story to light, featuring him in Unlimited Courage, a series that celebrates athletes pushing boundaries. Watch Chris Mosier in Nike's Unlimited Courage below:
