Professional Wrestler Toni Storm Comes Out As Bisexual
She used a WWE NXT Instagram story to make the revelation.
Professional WWE NXT wrestler Toni Storm came out as bisexual!
The former NXT UK Women's Champion took over WWE NXT's Instagram stories on Tuesday in honor of Pride and used the opportunity to make the revelation.
"I'm bi and it feels good to say it," Storm said. "It's something I've been really comfortable with for a long time. I just never expressed it."
Storm was taking her turn at the helm of the WWE NXT Instagram stories for Pride, and she realized the moment was right to share her bisexuality with her fans.
"I just never really found the right time and it's Pride Month and I'm on your Instagram so now's a good time I guess," Storm said in the story.
“A member of the community and an ally. Thank you for sharing this with us, Toni Storm. We couldn’t be more proud. 💖💜💙 #Pride #PrideMonth #WeAreNXT

(via @WWENXT’s Instagram Story)”— WWE NXT (@WWE NXT) 1624397447
The 25-year-old New Zealand native developed an interest in wrestling at a young age, watching WWE on television while living in Australia as a child. She started training at the age of 13 before moving to England at the age of 18 for training and more international exposure. She made a name for herself with her performances at the WWE Mae Young Classics in 2017 and 2018. It was revealed last year Strom was dating Juice Robinson, a star in the New Japan Pro-Wrestling group.
Storm, whose real name is Toni Rossall, is not the first wrestler to come out this year. In January, The Hitman for Hire, Mr. Grim, came out as pansexual. Saying he was done letting others dictate his feelings about his identity, Chris Lewis (a.k.a. Mr. Grim) made the surprise announcement on Twitter on New Year's Day.
“For years, I've struggled with my identity. Too worried about how others would feel or think about me. I've finally gained the courage to openly express that im Pansexual. Thank you @NylaRoseBeast for being my inspiration, supportive and holding my hand throughout this process.”— #GrimAF (@#GrimAF) 1609527786
It would also appear Storm is not alone in using Pride month to come out of the closet, as OutSports reported Strom is the 14th wrestling star to do so since the month began. Danger Kid kicked off the string of revelations, saying the time was right to "take charge" of his life to open the month.
“This is without a doubt the scariest thing I’ve ever done, but the thought of continuing on like I have for so long is even scarier. It’s time I take charge of my own life.

Happy Pride everyone 🏳️‍🌈”— DangerKid (@DangerKid) 1622569331
