This World AIDS Day, the entertainment industry can commit to fighting stigma by creating realistic representations of people living with HIV.

Artist, activist and coach Tyriek Taylor discusses his journey with HIV, from initial terror to full acceptance, through treatment, self-commitment and support from communities.
“It's hard not to think about all those people and put my own challenges into perspective,” said the HIV and LGBTQ+ advocate.
“My diagnosis was a gift,” says Derrazi. “It was the catalyst for a profound change in my life.”
More needs to be done to stop stigma toward those living with HIV, including producing more stories featuring those living with HIV, a new report from GLAAD said.
