The character has the fullest LGBTQ+ of the franchise's history.

Mortal Kombat has been one of the most popular fighting games on the market ever since it first launched in 1992, and the game is getting some much needed queer representation in it's latest edition, Mortal Kombat 11 Ultimate. In the new game, classic character Mileena is shown to be in a lesbian relationship with a fellow fighter -- this post will, understandably, spoil some of the game.

For those who haven't played, Mileena is a genetic experiment clone of the Edenian princess Kitana, mixed with Tarkatan (a brutal, demon-like race) blood. She's been an antagonist throughout the series, starting with her appearance in Mortal Kombat II. While she recently died, MK 11 sees her being plucked from the past to get a new chance at life.

While killing and conquering has been her main motivation in the past, this time, Mileena seems to look for something deeper -- love and a family. She finds this in fellow Edenian warrior Tanya, with whom she shared quite a few flirty exchanges in the last game.

Mortal Kombat 11 has Mileena taking her place as a princess to Emperor Shao Kahn and Queen Sindel, and producing an heir with her lover Tanya. In the scene, she's affectionately holding an infant in her arms, feeding it human flesh, while Tanya embraces her and smiles.

Mileena isn't the first queer character in the series, Mortal Kombat X showed ex-Shaoilin Monk Kung Jin to be gay, but this is the most expansive LGBTQ+ story we've gotten in one of these games so far.

If all of this wasn't enough to grab your attention, watch this Mortal Kombat 11 ad for Mileena starring Megan Thee Stallion serving full Tarkatan Assassin Realness. This is real Hot Girl Shit. It's the lesbian monsterf*cker content we've been dying for, and Mileena is happy to provide that death.

Mortal Kombat 11, as well as the Kombat Pack 2 expansion and Ultimate Bundle featuring Mileena, are available now for Xbox One, PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, PC and Google Stadia.
