Each month will feature a new documentary film about gay culture.
The LGBT channel Logo, home of RuPaul's Drag Race and Cucumber, has just announced a new branch to their network: Logo Documentary Films.
The news comes after the network won an Emmy forLaverne Cox Presents: The T Word, a documentary focusing on the lives of seven transgender youths.
"LGBT culture is rich with remarkable stories and storytellers and, with Logo Documentary Films, we've committed to bringing films that bring the vivid color of the experience to life," says Pamela Post, Logo's head of original programming.
Partnering with PBS's POV, Logo will be airing one new documentary each month, picked from a curated list. The first film is Blair Dorosh-Walther's Out in the Night, which focuses on four African-American lesbians wrongfully painted as vicious killers by the media.
Other films slated for the 2015-2016 season include Matt Shepard is a Friend of Mine, Versailles '73, Gen Silent, Out & Around, and The IF Project.
Out in the Night premieres June 22. Watch the trailerbelow:
