Eric Leonardos confides that he has been living with HIV for 10 years.

A contestant on "the gay Bachelor" will come out as HIV positive on Thursday night's episode.

Eric Leonardos is a suitor on Logo's Finding Prince Charming, and in an upcoming episode, he tells the aforementioned "prince," Robert Sepulveda Jr., that he is HIV positive.

Host Lance Bass confirmed before the show premiered in September that one of the contestants was positive and that the show would talk about the stigma among gay men--especially dating--about discussing their status.

In an interview with NewNowNext, Leonardos said that he's met a lot of understanding guys during the 10 years since he was diagnosed--but there's always room to improve.

"There's room for all communities and social groups to better educate themselves about HIV," he said. "There's still discrimination and stigma everywhere. And a need for education--to understand the virus and how it is and isn't transmitted."

Finding Prince Charming airs Thursdays at 9 p.m. Eastern. Watch Leonardos talk his status with fellow contestant, Justin, below.
