Archie is a Total Fox in the Dark & Steamy New Riverdale Promo

Remember those silly feuds Betty and Veronica had over Archie? What about those hilarious antics Jughead used to get into? Don't forget about Josie and the Pussycats and their carefree rocker lifestyle!

What about that time David Lynch decided to turn it into an edgy teen thriller and call it art? Oh yeah, me neither. But that's certainly what the promo for the CW show, Riverdale looks like.

The 30-second clip provides hauntingly beautiful views set to a creepy song by some sad girl. We then get a glimpse of Betty, Veronica, and Archie, a bottle ginger who looks like Damian when he held up Cady's hair to his head in Mean Girls and said, "You see, this is the color I want." The teaser goes on to remind us that it's the same network that brought us The Vampire Diaries and Gossip Girl as if that makes this dark angsty adaptation of one of America's favorite past times any less confusing.

Riverdale premieres January 26 on the CW. Watch the promo below:
