Despite Stacey Dash's recent descent into the pit of right-wing insanity otherwise known as Fox News, Clueless remains a beloved touchstone of the '90s, when skirts were short, cell phones were huge and Brittany Murphy was alive--may she rest. Last night, The Muppets paid tribute to the classic teen comedy the way only those felt-covered national treasures can.
With Uncle Deadly--no relation to Uncle Murda--stepping into Cher Horowitz's iconic yellow plaid skirt suit.
When his leading lady calls out sick, Deadly hikes up his knee socks because the show must go on. And thanks to Miss Piggy, he's playing to a packed house.
I never realized until now that the one thing missing from my life, all of our lives really, was an all-Muppet rendition of '90s cinematic classics. Showgirls, anyone?
