I Am Cait Canceled After Two Seasons
After two seasons, Cailtyn Jenner's reality TV series, I Am Cait, has been axed from the E! fall schedule.
Jenner confirmed it on Twitter:
\u201cAfter 2 amazing seasons of @IAmCait, it's time for the next adventure. Thank you E! & thank you to the best girlfriends I could ask for!\u201d— Caitlyn Jenner (@Caitlyn Jenner) 1471374607
EXPAND
Although the first season was off to a good start -- I Am Cait reached nearly 4 million viewers for its debut episode, which came out shortly after Jenner's Vanity Fair cover story -- the new season received a more timid endorsement, with ratings nosediving under 750,000 viewers from episode one.
The figures are far from the 16.9 million who tuned in to watch Jenner's tell-all interview with Diane Sawyer. Since then, Jenner was involved in multiple backlashes, mainly due to her support of Donald Trump (she said, on the show, that Trump would be "very good for women's issues") and her increasingly shallow image.
So long, Kait!
