Is there anyone better to come between you and a new love interest?
Part-time gameshow host seems to be a burgeoning career field in Hollywood. Andy Cohen, the Real Housewives mastermind and Watch What Happens Live host, will be hosting a reboot of the '80s dating game show Love Connection, set to air this summer.
Fox announced today that it ordered 15 hour-long episodes of the new show, which will have a format similar to the original. Contestants will be single men and women going on blind dates with one another before regaling a studio audience with stories about the encounter. Cohen, of course, will be there to encourage them to reveal the best parts of the story with some comedic prodding.
"Hosting the new version allows me to do one of the things I love most," Cohen said in a statement announcing the reboot, "meddling in people's personal lives."
Now Cohen will join the likes of Steve Harvey, Jane Lynch and, most recently, Alec Baldwin in the growing gameshow corner of contemporary reality television.
