Apparently 10 episodes wasn't enough to contain all that schtick. NBC has increased the episode order on the new, ninth season of Will & Grace from 10 to 12 episodes. Cue the gif-ebration!
Same.
According to Deadline, the new season is expected to pick up the characters' stories a decade after the finale, with the original cast--Emmy-winners Eric McCormack, Debra Messing, Sean Hayes, and Megan Mullally--all returning. "I've been assured by our brilliant show creators that they have very quickly and magically created a universe in which we're all back together," she told E! News. The show is in the good, familiar hands of creators/executive producers Max Mutchnick and David Kohan, along with James Burrows, who directed every episode of the show's original run.

Rumors of a reboot ran wild after a surprise reunion special debuted ahead of that time America decided to fuck itself over.
"NBC didn't even know we were doing it," Messing said of the special, which was spearheaded by Mutchnick. "But then the phone call came and the four of us got together and had dinner and looked around the table and we were like, 'What do you think?' and we all unanimously felt we needed to laugh and we wanted more than anything to make other people laugh right now with the state of our country, the state of our world, the chaos, the fear and the confusion."
Though their message, along with the election, may have been lost, in January NBC announced that the beloved show would indeed return, ensuring that things couldn't be all that bad.
Though there's no set date for the show's return, it will air during the 2017-18 season. Here's a trailer to get you even more excited:
