Another star has signed on to American Horror Story: Cult: anthology vet Emma Roberts. The glam star has previously appeared in Coven and Freak Show as a dead party girl and a con artist fortune teller, respectively. No word yet as to what her upcoming role will entail, but we do have this photo to go on:

While precious little is known about Cult, other than it's inspired by the 2016 presidential election, its cast is shaping up to be among the most star-studded yet: other returners include Sarah Paulson and Evan Peters, and newcomers such as Billie Lourd, Colton Haynes, Billy Eichner, and Lena Dunham will join the mix.

Roberts appears in a trenchcoat and carrying a knife--is she a detective? A violent one? Whatever she is, she's a far cry from the terrifying clown imagery surrounding most other glimpses we've had of the show.
American Horror Story: Cult will return to FX on September 5.
