The bitter taste that's been in your mouth ever since Trevor Noah took over The Daily Show instead of Jessica Williams may soon vanish. The former correspondent for the show and (incredibly dope host of the 2 Dope Queens podcast) is in talks with Showtime for a new comedy series, according to Deadline.

Williams and indie filmmaker Jim Strouse, the duo behind Williams' film The Incredible Jessica James, will write and executive produce the series, and Williams will (obviously) star in the show. The story revolves around an African American aspiring science fiction writer (Williams) while she comes of age in Brooklyn, as one does.
We're still light on details, but for those of us still aching for her return to television, the news couldn't come at a better time.
