Following the divisive Cult, the next season of American Horror Story is opting to move forward -- literally. Creator Ryan Murphy has revealed that the next season of the campy horror anthology will be set in the future, according to a Deadline report.
"All I'll say about it is I want to go to the future--still topical, but the future, which I've never done," Murphy said. But Murphy was clear that the future was "not space." Murphy explained that after pitching the next season's theme, FX head John Landgraf "fell out of his chair with joy. I think people will like it, it's different from what we've done before, but I always try and do the opposite of what I've done on that show."
Murphy also revealed that the much anticipated Murder House/Coven crossover won't be next season but "likely be the one after that," which would be season nine of AHS. Fingers crossed for a Jessica Lange return!
