'God's Own Country' Star Josh O'Connor Cast in 'The Crown'

The Crown season 3 has already gagged us with their announcement of Helena Bonham Carter in the role of Princess Margaret and Olivia Colman as Queen Elizabeth.
Now, it's time to truly squeal: God's Own Country's Josh O'Connor has been cast as Prince Charles in the upcoming third season, which sees the characters jump way forward in time.

Also joining the cast in Allied's Marion Bailey, who will play the Queen Mother in the new iteration.
"Seasons 3 and 4 will follow some of the most turbulent events in the Prince of Wales's life and our national story and I'm excited to be bringing to life the man in the midst of it all," said O'Connor in Deadline's report. "I'm very aware it's a formidably talented family to be joining, but reliably informed I have the ears for the part and will fit right in."
The new season is expected to launch in 2019.
