Big Mouth Gets a Queer Eye Makeover in Season Three Trailer
The Fab Five aren’t just cartoons, they’re GAY cartoons.
As if Netflix's raunchy animated series Big Mouth wasn't already queer enough, the third season will get at least five times gayer thanks to a cameo from Queer Eye's Fab Five. If you've ever wanted to see what Jonathan Van Ness' mane of hair would look like as a cartoon, you're in luck.
Big Mouthdropped the first trailer for its upcoming new season on Tuesday, which opens with a masturbation game show called Do the Thing! before teasing some cousin-on-cousin incest and a character coming out as pansexual. The trailer closes with a glimpse of the cast of Queer Eye on their way to makeover the unfortunate Coach Steve (Nick Kroll), who walks JVN through his grooming routine: a single brush. "I call it the brush, cause it's one brush I use for all my parts -- my head, my teeth, my peena, and my asshole!"
"Jesus in my vagina, that poor brush," exclaims the animated Van Ness.
In its first two seasons, Big Mouth has explored the horrors of puberty, always including queer characters: last season, school gossip Matthew (Andrew Rannells) hooked up with bisexual classmate Jay (Jason Mantzoukas). Harvey Fierstein, Zachary Quinto, and Paula Pell have all had guest roles throughout the first two seasons. And the show's writers' room is staffed with some of today's most beloved queer comics, including Jaboukie Young-White and Patti Harrison. And the show has inspired queer creators like Miss Toto, who became Maya Rudolph's Hormone Monstress for a sickening drag number.
Season three of Big Mouth premieres on Netflix October 4.
