'Queer Eye,' Lili Reinhart, and Hannah Gadsby also scored nominations.

Fresh off of a historic sweep of nine awards at the 2020 Emmys a couple weeks ago, Dan Levy and Schitt's Creek are picking up more accolades as the People's Choice Award nominations were announced.

Schitt's Creek, which aired it's sixth and final season this year (yes, you can watch it on Netflix now,) has long been a favorite of fans and TV critics, but awards had remained elusive until recently. Now the show, and creator Levy, are getting their roses and getting them in spades. First the show broke the record for most Emmys going to a comedy in a single season, and now they're moving onto the People's Choice awards.

The show itsself is nominated for Comedy Show and Bingeworthy Show of 2020, while creator and star Dan Levy is nominated for both Comedy TV Star and Male TV Star for his role as David Rose, the neurotic and fashionable pansexual son of the Rose family.

Other queer nominees this year include bisexual Riverdale star Lili Reinhart's nomination for Female TV Star, and Kate McKinnon (SNL) and Jameela Jamil (The Good Place) for Oustandtanging Comedy TV Star. Syfy's Wynonna Earp and The CW's Supergirl, which both have queer actors in queer roles, were nominated for Sci-Fi/Fantasy Show. Netflix's docuseries Tiger King also picked up two nominations for Show of 2020 and Bingeworthy Show.

RuPaul's Drag Race and Queer Eye each picked up three nominations, RPDR got nominations for Competition Show and Competition Contestant nominations for Gigi Goode and season 12 winner Jaida Essence Hall. Sammie Cimarelli, who is bisexual, was also nominated for appearing on The Circle. Queer Eye's nominations came in the Reality Show category and for Jonathan Van Ness and Antoni Porowski in Reality Star of 2020.

In the music categories, Lady Gaga received five nominations. She was nominated for Album of 2020 for Chromatica, as well as for Female Artist, and Song, Collaboration, and Music Video for "Rain on Me" with Ariana Grande. Miley Cyrus was also nominated for Female Artist. Other queer nominees include Hannah Gadsby's Douglas for Comedy Act, as well as Watch What Happens Live With Andy Cohen for Nighttime Talk Show, and, even after a year of controversy, The Ellen Degeneres Show for Daytime Talk Show.

The 2020 Emmys ceremony was essentially a Schitt's Creek ceremony for the first part, as the show won all seven of the first seven categories announced. The show ended the night with nine wins, including Best Actor, Actress, Supporting Actor, and Supporting Actress in a Comedy, Outstanding Writing and Directing in a Comedy, and the big award, Outstanding Comedy Series. The show had previously won Outstanding Casting for a Comedy and Contemporary Costumes.

Voting is currently open for the People's Choice Awards, and all six seasons of Schitt's Creek, as well as the behind the scenes documentary, Best Wishes, Warmest Regards, are now streaming on Netflix.
