Looks like Dragula doesn't have the only spooky queens in town.
When it comes to spooky drag, The Boulet Brothers have that on lock. It's no shade. The empire they are building is centered on it. This month they are putting on their first All Stars-esque event with The Boulet Brothers' Dragula: Resurrection which premieres on October 20 on Shudder. It is a documentary style reality competition special featuring returning queens. But nowRuPaul's Drag Race is also getting in on the fun.
The queens of Drag Race season 12 will reunite in a new season special dubbed Bring Back My Ghouls. The airing will include all 11 competitors -- the disqualified contestant Sherry Pie is not include -- performing in planned lip-syncs, kiki sessions, and more. Heidi N Closet will also head up a Time to Vote Segment, which falls in line with this season's emphasis on voting.
As another aspect of the special, RuPaul will make an appearance with a special message. There's no telling whether this will be different than the host's recent voting PSA but we'll see.
The special comes at a time when the season 12 queens have been mostly robbed of the opportunities that many Drag Race competitors are afforded after their seasons. Though a few have been able to perform in vents like drive-thru drag performance tours, it's a world away from the norm. This special cam hopefully offset that and falls in live with previous specials like the Holislay Special.
Viewers will be able to tip queens via Venmo, PayPal, and CashApp with the total donated being evenly distributed to performers. The special will stream on World of Wonder's YouTube channel Friday October 30 at 3 p.m. EST and on WOW Presents Plus.
