Just last week RuPaul's Drag Racedebuted the 13 queens that made up the cast of season 13. Now, the show is back with the trailer for the premiere, and as expected, Mama Ru has a few gags in store.
"This season my girls will make you flip," Ru says in the new trailer. The new season, as we already know, will debut on New Year's Day -- now with a bubbly logo.
The trailer teases looks as well as storylines.
"I'm recently getting over cancer," one of the queens reveals. Another tells someone they are "changing the face of drag."
"I hope you like surprises," Ru says in a voiceover -- to go on this show, you kind of have to. "I've got a big one!"
For the premiere, Ru tells the queens that they have to face off in six lip syncs for their lives. We're just spitballing here but, this may have been in lieu of an A-list celebrity -- recent premieres have had Miley Cyrus, Lady Gaga, Christina Aguilera but this season was filmed during the ongoing pandemic. while we are certain that it'll be interesting to see the performers get put to the test immediately, we do wonder if that means the entire season will go without guest judges, who on occasion really bring something amazing to the series.
After the episode airs the new season of Untucked will premiere.
But the new trailer also brings with it a look at the queens out of drag. Here, we've gone through the trailer and pulled a few stills (and also dug around Instagram for a few more.)
(Since this is such an animated photo we are including an Instagram of Olivia in and out of drag.)
(We can't find photos of Kahmora online out of drag so enjoy another photo of her in drag.)
