The pair are playing Linda Tripp and Monica Lewinsky, respectively, in the upcoming 'Impeachment' series.
Get excited, because we now have our very first looks at stars Sarah Paulson as Linda Tripp and Beanie Feldstein as Monica Lewinsky on the set of the upcoming American Crime Story: Impeachment -- ok, maybe it's our second look at Paulson.
The photos, tweeted by Film Updates, show Paulson and Feldstein on set in costume and with face masks on for safety. There's not much, but the pictures we do get are amazing, showing the two women who brought the nation to a standstill by exposing the president's misdeeds.
We knew a big transformation was coming for Paulson, as she had shared a tiny glimpse of her character on social media, but this is the first time we're seeing her Linda Tripp in all her glory. Look at those shoulder pads! Look at those sensible slacks with a high waist!
Paulson is absolutely unrecognizable. "I'll be wearing a lot of prosthetics and body transformational accoutrement, if that's a word one can use," she told Jimmy Kimmel about the role back in November, and now we see what she meant. She also said that she had to learn how to walk and hold her posture in a new way for the role.
This is also the very first time we've seen Beanie Feldstein as Lewinsky. This is my favorite casting of the whole series. Just look at her rock those bangs and pantyhose! I think there might be an Emmy in Ms. Feldstein's future.
American Crime Story: Impeachment tells the story of the 1998 Bill Clinton-Monica Lewinsky scandal, and is based on Jeffrey Toobin's book A Vast Conspiracy: The Real story of the sex Scandal That Nearly Brought Down a President. Paulson and Feldstein star alongside Annaleigh Ashford, Anthony Green, Billy Eichner, and Clive Owens as Bill Clinton.
