RuPaul did not bring any RuPaul's Drag Race contestants or alum with him onstage for his hosting gig at Saturday Night Live, but that doesn't mean they weren't involved in some way! Shea Coulee was right there in the audience, Alyssa Edwards and Latrice Royale were there in spirit (Ru definitely copied a few of their Drag Race iconic lines during his reading segment), and as we all know, Raven beat Ru's face for God and whoever else is up there in preparation for the pre-recorded sketch. But there was a name that's relatively new to the Drag Race family: introducing Nicky Doll.

In the episode's pre-recorded sketch, Ru is on the search for the future of drag. She finds that future in some unassuming lighting assistant named Chad, who is helping out at Ru's latest cover shoot for Drag magazine. Chad is played by Pete Davidson, and Ru purposes to turn him into the greatest her we've ever seen. Kind of.

Let's just keep it honest here ladies: RuPaul doesn't do his own makeup, so there's a fat chance he's going to be doing someone else's! That's no shade, just true tea. And does Davidson really deserve a beat by the all mighty Raven? We are unconvinced.

Instead, Nicky Doll was selected to do Davidson's look, a three-hour process, and she does a pretty damn good job. Nicky was apparently so proud of her own work that she bestowed Davidson a drag name as her daughter. "This is how I turned Pete Davidson into CHAD aka PIETRA DOLL," she wrote to Instagram. "I had so much fun doing it and thank you again SO much to RuPaul for the opportunity." Though we all know know that Drag Race season 12 was finished filming long before this ever happened, this is a pretty good look for Nicky before the episodes start rolling out. Not saying she's the next Raven (as we are hoping Raven is no where near done) but she's quite possibly the next Nicky, a drag MUA with a name that can hold its own.

Let's see how it all goes down.
