Netflix makes the right decisions! Well today at least.
In a new promotional video posted to YouTube featuring actor Alistair Petrie, who plays Mr. Groff on the massively popular series, the streaming platform confirmed a third season. This confirmation comes only a month after the second season launched. Sort of like the network did with one of our other favorite series, Elite, which comes back next month.
In the Sex Education season three teaser, Mr. Groff walks through a gallery of paintings featuring portraits of the show's characters.
"Otis, an arousing wheel of brie," Groff says, as he passes the show's lead character. Otis is also notably carrying a ton of eggplants for some reason. "Eric, asking the old question 'he loves me? He loves me not?' based on a French game."
Groff continues in the clip. "Lily and her violets," he says. "A Greek symbol of lesbian and bisexual love."
Towards the end of the clip he gasps. "The piece de resistance," he explains. "Eric and Adam, I wonder what is in store for these two cherubs. Well, I hope you'll have to find out in season three, won't you?"
We will indeed!
For his part, Ncuti Gatwa, who plays Eric on the show, wasn't the biggest wordsman in celebrating the renewal. "We got a season 3," he wrote featuring a Memoji, in his likeness, winking and stinking its tongue out. Appropriate enough if you ask us!
Now if only Netflix would go ahead and tell us when we can expect the season to hit our screens again. Until then, we will be re-watching seasons one and two which are on the service.
