Drag Race Down Under teaser

Even in a little teaser it's already kind of gaggy.

Well, well, well ladies! Before we ever left, we're back again.

RuPaul's Drag Race Down Under is in a full-court press for its debut season. This happens as RuPaul's Drag Race season 13 is hurtling towards its finale, and Drag Race Espana seems to be gearing up to announce its queens any time soon -- they've been premiering judges and other promotional imagery on Instagram. But Down Under has named its queens and given us a premiere date. Now, here comes the first look -- complete with glimpses of the new iteration's Pit Crew.

The eight-episode season will begin airing on May 1 via Stan in Australia, TVNZ On Demand in New Zealand and on WOW Presents Plus in the U.S. and select territories worldwide. 10 queens from Australia and New Zealand will compete to become the show's Drag Race Superstar judged by RuPaul, Michelle Visage, and comedian Rhys Nicholson. No guest judges have been announced yet.

The teaser features drama, the pit crew, some frank comments form RuPaul, and what seems to be a new theme song not sung by the longtime host. Qu'elle surprise.

The 10 competing queens include Anita Wigl'it, Art Simone, Coco Jumbo, Elektra Shock, Etcetera Etcetera, JoJo Zaho, Karen from Finance, Kita Mean, Maxi Shield, and Scarlet Adams.
