Netflix's Elite has been hailed since season one for the relationship between Omar and Ander. Dubbed Omander by fans, the coupling is undoubtedly the most loved of the series. And sure they've gone through their rocky points -- and if the season four premiere announcement was accurate, there's more coming -- but we love them all the same. But, move over boys: there's another queer linkup in town.
Sapphics, we ride at dawn!
In the lead in to the June 18 premiere of season four, Elite has been posting teasers onto its Instagram account. While that's mostly been just photos and poster imagery thus far, a new post seems to promise a relationship between two female characters.
In the new post Rebeca, who is also known as the show's "Cocaine Barbie," finds herself physically entangled with a series newcomer. The character in particular: Mencia.
Given that Mencia will make her debut in season four, there's not much known about the role. Previously Rebeca was in love with Samuel, but fans were given a hint that things might be getting interesting given that in first look photos from the season, Rebeca seemed to be cuddled up with Cayetana.
Of course this could all just be a fake out and they are just close friends, but Elite generally hasn't queerbaited fans.
