It's really the beginning of the end.
If you're wondering what's happening in the world of Special's Ryan, wonder no more. Special, the Netflix show created by writer, executive producer, and star Ryan O'Connell, has just released its full trailer for the second and final season.
"Ryan really needs to get his shit together," reads a description. "It's been two months and he still hasn't spoken to Karen since their fight and he has a gnarly case of writer's block that's getting him in hot water with Olivia." He soon finds himself entangled with Tanner, a flirty dance instructor who, as we find out in the trailer, has a really hot boyfriend.
But, the show is intent on exploring other characters as well, namely in Jessica Hecht's Karen (Ryan's mom) and Punam Patel's Kim. Kim has some things going in her love life when she meets Harrison, "a sensitive tech mogul with a humble background." Meanwhile, Karen is trying to figure out what life is life after her darling boy has flown the coop.
"This season is about our primary characters -- Ryan, Karen, and Kim -- coming into their power and realizing they all deserve big gorgeous lives -- whether society agrees or not, bitch!"
The final season will begin airing on May 20. It will be composed of eight 30-minute episodes.
