American Horror Stories Just Dropped a New, Spine-Tingling Trailer
It's going to be one nightmare of a summer!
Ryan Murphy has unleashed the latest teaser for the upcoming American Horror Story spin-off, American Horror Stories, and it has us even more excited for the weekly anthology series.
Full of spine-tingling delights, the teaser (hopefully) offers some insight into what we can expect from the show, which is a spin-off of Murphy's popular American Horror Story, and will feature a different horror each week.
The teaser follows Rubber Woman, a new, female version of the Rubber Man demon we know and fear from the series. Rubber Woman starts standing in a field of blood-red plants and soon makes her way into a large, spooky-looking house. Inside she sees all sorts of horrors, ranging from ghosts to creepy multi-armed beings crawling on the ceiling to a man with a giant axe. Eventually she comes face to face with the Rubber Man himself, before slashing at him with a knife. This is going to be one wild ride!
Murphy has posted several teaser images and videos featuring the Rubber Woman, but we don't know what role she'll play in the series. The original Rubber Man demon was actually revealed to be the ghost of Tate Langdon, played by Evan Peters, in the first season of American Horror Story.
Rubber Woman could be a recurring character in these horror stories, a one-time character in just one story, or even a sort of mascot for the show.
American Horror Stories consists of 16 one hour episodes, many of which will feature many of the AHS stars we know and love. Murphy recently announced it will also star Nico Greetham, Kevin McHale, Dyllon Burnside, and Charles Melton.
We also know that American Horror Story legend Sarah Paulson is set to direct a part of the anthology. According to Deadline, when Paulson was asked if she'd appear in the spin-off at a Netflix panel for her show Ratched last year, she replied, "What can I say? I'll be directing something." Mysterious! The terrifying new stories will start premiering July 15, exclusively on FX on Hulu.RELATED | We Ranked Sarah Paulson's 9 American Horror Story Performances
