RuPaul's Drag Race Is Getting Another International Edition

RuPaul

The beloved reality drag competition is quickly on the way to total world domination!

RuPaul keeps expanding her queendom!

World of Wonder just today announced that it is expanding its global slate of shows with the brand new Drag Race Philippines, following their other international editions like Thailand, the UK, Holland, Chile, Spain, and Canada.

"Calling all queens! If you think you have what it takes to become the first Drag Race superstar from The Philippines, we want to hear from you," RuPaul says in a casting promo for the show. "Show us your charisma, uniqueness, nerve, and talent, and this could be the beginning of the rest of your life."

"The Drag Race franchise has shined a spotlight on so many incredible queens from around the world and we are so excited to introduce audiences to the dazzling queens of the Philippines," World of Wonder co-founders Randy Barbato and Fenton Bailey said in a statement.

"WOW Presents Plus was created to serve as a springboard for underrepresented voices, so we are thrilled to exclusively premiere Drag Race Philippines on the platform for our global viewers."

Drag Race Philippines will be produced by Fullhouse Asia Production Studios, Inc. in conjunction with World of Wonder Productions.

The announcement of Drag Race Philippines shadily comes at the same time that former RPDR all-star Manila Luzon, who is Filipina-American, also announced that she's launching a drag competition show in the country, Drag Den Philippines.

Luzon is launching the show with WeTV, and is holding auditions for contestants 18 and above from August 16-31. She's looking for queens with "good makeup skills," "a pleasing personality," and "a desire for an exciting new life."

We'll have to wait and see which drag show comes out on top.
