9-1-1: Lone Star's Season 3 Premiere Shocked So Many Tarlos Fans
Looks like it's going to be a ROCKY season...
Warning! This post contains spoilers of the season three premiere of 9-1-1: Lone Star!
It was a rough night for Tarlos fans everywhere as season three of 9-1-1: Lone Star started with our favorite first responders broken up!
We knew that the new season would begin with the crew of the beloved Station 126 firehouse going their separate ways, as that happened in the season two finale. But what we didn't know was that our favorite couple (played by Ronen Rubinstein and Rafael Silva) on the show would be broken up as well!
Sadly, that's the reality we're living in, as the new season of Lone Star kicked off with "The Big Chill," an episode based on the cold snap that hit Texas last winter. There are a lot of parallels going on, as the other stars of the show are trying to both get the 126 back together AND get TK and Carlos back together. But as Carlos says, "It's important to know when to give up. When it's time to move on." Ouch.
“What do you mean by that, Carlos? 🧐 #911LoneStar”— 9-1-1: Lone Star (@9-1-1: Lone Star) 1641258951
We still don't know why the couple broke up, since it's been six months since the events of the season two finale, and the other characters on the show are just as curious as we are as to what made the two call it quits.
It seems like we might find out more in the next few weeks, though, as the preview for the second episode of the season shows TK falling through ice on a frozen pond and fighting for his life. Will the life-threatening danger be enough to bring him and Carlos back together? Or is something worse in store for TK?

TV Insider talked to showrunner Tim Minnear about the couple, and why he made the decision to break them up.
"One of the challenges of coming in in January after we had our finale in May and the fact that these shows pretty much play in real-time in terms of when they're first broadcast -- so if we're off for six months, then I can't just say that six months didn't pass, right?" he said. "I can't just come in and say that everybody stayed in stasis for the six months that we didn't see them."
But don't be dismayed. He also said we're about to find out why they broke up, and maybe even see them start to heal whatever wounds they have. "For all those Tarlos fans out there, I would tell them, do not despair, that the thing that we do on this show and on 9-1-1, I think, one of our strengths, is not just tearing people apart, but it's the reunions," Minnear continued. "It's putting them back together. It's them earning their place back at the side of the person that they belong with. That's the journey, and then that's the reward."
Well, at least there's some good news: TK and Carlos belong with each other!
The next episode of 9-1-1: Lone Star airs next Monday at 8/7c on Fox. Tune in to find out what happens to our beloved TK and Carlos.
