Aubrey Plaza Is Headed to The White Lotus Season Two
We could always use a little more Aubrey in our lives!
Aubrey Plaza is going to be gracing our TV screens once again!
The Happiest Season scene-stealer and real-life bi icon has joined the cast of Mike White's critically acclaimed HBO comedy The White Lotus for season two.
While the first season took place at the White Lotus resort in Hawaii, this second season will travel to a new destination, and see all new vacationers at a different White Lotus property. One rumor says that the location could be in Italy.
Plaza is set to be a series regular in the new season, playing a character named Harper Spiller, who is described as "a woman on vacation with her husband and his friends." There's not much to go on there, but we can't wait to see what kind of trouble Plaza gets in.
She's joining the already-cast Michael Imperioli, who is playing Dominic Di Grasso, "a man traveling with his elderly father and recent college-graduate son." Rumors say that season one fan-favorite Jennifer Coolidge will also be returning for the second season.
Since starring in Happiest Season, Plaza has been booking roles left and right. She's about to star in Guy Ritchie's newest action flick, Operation Fortune: Ruse de guerre alongside Jason Statham, Hugh Grant, and Josh Hartnett.
She's also starring in the upcoming Emily The Criminal, about a down-on-her-luck woman saddled with debt who "gets involved in a credit card scam that pulls her into the criminal underworld of Los Angeles, ultimately leading to deadly consequences."
She also teased that her Happiest Season character Riley was going to be starring in a sequel to the popular Hulu Christmas rom-com. "There's gonna be another one," she said at a book signing for her new children's book The Legend of The Christmas Witch. "Um yeah! Because my character deserves love too," she said.
While we don't know if she was just joking, we absolutely love the idea!
We could always use a little more Aubrey Plaza in our lives!
