Laverne Cox Shines in Netflix's Inventing Anna Trailer

The new series from Shonda Rhimes looks wild and wonderful!

Inventing Anna is coming to Netflix, and it's going to sweep you up in it's whirlwind story.

The show comes from Shonda Rhimes, so you know it's going to be a wild and sexy ride. It's the first show Rhimes has created and run since Scandal wrapped four years ago, so we are dying to see where she'll take us this time, especially with Laverne Cox along for the ride.

Inventing Anna is a fictionalized tale about the real-life scammer Anna Delvey (real name Anna Sorokin), who pretended to be a German heiress in order to become an insider in elite New York social circles. She eventually scammed her rich friends out of over $200,000 and is currently serving a 4-to-12 year prison sentence.

Julia Garner looks amazing in the show as Sorokin. She floats around New York's finest like a waif who was born to be there. She's as millennial as it gets. And her accent is just as wild and hard-to-nail down as the real Sorokin.

Cox plays Kacy Duke in the limited series. She's "a celebrity trainer and life coach who -- while centered enough to keep herself out of the real trouble -- finds herself becoming a coach to more than just Anna in the wake of her crimes."

We only get a small glimpse of her, but it looks like she's going to be calling out a lot of bullshit in this one. We can't wait to see it! We especially are looking forward to her scenes with Garner's Delvey.

Inventing Anna also stars Anna Chlumsky as Vivian, the journalist who investigates Anna's case. Other cast members include Katie Lowes, Jeff Perry, Arian Moayed, Alexis Floyd, Anders Holm, Anna Deavere Smith, and Terry Kinney.

Slave Play star James Cusati-Moyer also joined the cast. He'll be playing Val, a stylist and fashion director who befriends Anna and gets to see all of the damage she did in person.

Inventing Anna premieres February 11 on Netflix.
