The Netflix star was just cast in Disney+'s upcoming WandaVision spinoff series Agatha: Coven of Chaos.

Get ready Heartstopper fans -- Joe Locke is coming to the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

Locke, the 2022 Out100 honoree and out actor who rose to fame playing gay teen Charlie Spring on Netflix's Heartstopper, is moving on to Disney+ for his next project.

According to Variety, Locke is joining the WandaVision spinoff series Agatha: Coven of Chaos, coming to Disney+. The show stars Kathryn Hahn as the witch Agatha Harkness, who was responsible for a lot of the mayhem that happened in WandaVision.

Hahn was a huge breakout star from the show, winning fans left and right for her sudden heel turn and super-catchy (and Emmy-winning) jingle "Agatha All Along." Now, we'll get to see even more of her.

While we don't know any actual details, a lot of fans are speculating that Locke will play a teen version of Billy Maximoff, known as Billy Kaplan in the comics. Billy is one of Wanda Maximoff and Vision's twin sons, and he's also better known as the gay superhero Wiccan.

Billy, and his brother Tommy (who is bisexual) first appeared as babies in the Disney+ series WandaVision, which also introduced the character of Agatha Harkness. Because of the reality-bending nature of that show, they soon became preteens.

Now, we might have a chance to meet Billy and Tommy as teens, and it looks like Locke might be playing Billy. If Locke is cast as Billy, does that mean we'll eventually get to see him explore his sexuality? Marvel has usually failed its queer characters, so that would be a welcome reprieve.

Of course, Marvel and Disney are keeping character details about who Locke will play under tight wraps, so this is all just hope and speculation.
