After recently coming out as pansexual on MTV's reality dating series Ex on the Beach, David Barta has been slowly introducing himself to the LGBTQ+ community not only on television but also through social media.
Barta's first appearance on reality TV was in 2019 when he starred on the reboot of Fox's dating series Paradise Hotel as a contestant. Outside of his career in reality TV, Barta won pageants such as Mr. California and Mr. International USA in 2019. Currently, he also works as a fitness instructor and online training coach. In 2022, he made a triumphant comeback as a cast member on the fifth season of Ex on the Beach. Unlike many of his co-stars, Barta wasn't brought into the series as an "ex" - he was featured as a main cast member. On the show, he will come face-to-face with two of his exes, Kathryn Dunn (Big Brother 21) and Danielle Cohen (Are You Smarter than a 5th Grader?).
During the premiere episode of Ex on the Beach season five, Barta disclosed that his main goal on the show was to learn more about himself. A lot of that identity crisis came from Barta slowly recognizing that he was into more than women. He initially defaulted to labeling himself as bisexual, but later realized that pansexual was a more accurate label for his sexual orientation.
Now, David is not only facing his ex-girlfriends on Ex on the Beach, but he's also dealing with the fact that he has a crush on co-star Mike Mulderrig.
