Even more heroes are getting makeovers from Netflix's iconic Fab Five!
This week, Netflix officially announced the return of their popular reality makeover and lifestyle series Queer Eye for its seventh season, which will take place in New Orleans, Louisiana. And all members of the Fab Five - Antoni Porowski (food), Bobby Berk (design), Jonathan Van Ness (grooming), Karamo Brown (culture), and Tan France (fashion) - are set to return.
The season seven renewal was announced on the official social media pages for Queer Eye along with an open casting call for the upcoming season. The post read:
"If you know someone in NOLA who is deserving of a Queer Eye make-better let us know [at] QEcasting@itv.com."
Over the course of six seasons - as well as two international special editions - Queer Eye has helped heroes from Georgia, Missouri, Kansas, Illinois, Pennsylvania, Texas, Australia, and Japan. The sixth season of Queer Eye took place exclusively in Texas, but the Fab Five is now crossing state lines in season seven to help people in the Big Easy.
With the exception of season two, Queer Eye has consistently been rated with a Rotten Tomatoes score of over 90 percent. The fifth season of the show even received a 100 percent Tomatometer score, and as such, the Queer Eye reboot is still a massive critical and commercial hit for Netflix.
In other related news, Brown landed a daytime talk show that has already been sold to 90 percent of U.S. markets through syndication. He's one of a handful of LGBTQ+ personalities to land their own daytime talk shows in recent history.
The franchise also recently expanded with Queer Eye Germany, which will feature an all-German Fab Five helping people all around the country.
