After teasing fans earlier this year, the first official trailer for Neil Patrick Harris' upcoming Netflix series Uncoupled is finally here! And we've also been blessed with a bunch of new, first-look stills from the series to boot!
Created by Sex and the City and Emily In Paris mastermind Darren Star alongside Jeffrey Richman, Uncoupled is a much-needed queer, romantic comedy set in the Big Apple that tells the story of a gay man of a certain age having to deal with the harsh reality of being single after many years of being in a long-term, monogamous relationship.
"Michael Lawson (Neil Patrick Harris) seems to have it all figured out," the show's official description reads. "He's a successful New York City real estate agent with a great career, a supportive family, close friends, and a loving relationship with his partner of 17 years, Colin (Tuc Watkins). But when Colin unexpectedly moves out on the eve of his 50th birthday, Michael is completely blindsided. Overnight, he has to confront two nightmares: losing the man he thought was his soulmate, and suddenly finding himself a single gay man in his mid-forties in New York City."
Besides NPH (Out's latest cover star and a Tony winner known best for his roles in projects like Hedwig and the Angry Inch and How I Met Your Mother) the series also stars Tisha Campbell, Brooks Ashmanskas, Emerson Brooks, and Marcia Gay Harden, and will feature guest appearances from the likes of Andre De Shields, Colin Hanlon, Dan Amboyer, Gilles Marini, Jai Rodriguez, Nic Rouleau, and Peter Porte.
With a stacked cast and juicy, queer storylines, Uncoupled will definitely be a must-watch this summer!
