Meet Shangela's 'DWTS' Dance Partner, Cutie Gleb Savchenko
Shangela is making Dancing With the Stars history by becoming the first-ever drag performer to compete in the American version of the popular, long-running reality dance series. She'll be competing alongside Gleb Savchenko, a veteran pro dancer on DWTS who's competed in nine previous seasons.
Savchenko's first joined DWTS on season 16, which aired back in 2013. At the time, he was paired up with The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills icon and Vanderpump Rules star Lisa Vanderpump - ending up in 10th place. Over the years, Savchenko has partnered up on DWTS with Jana Kramer (season 23), Erika Jayne (season 24), Sasha Pieterse (season 25), Arike Ogunbowale (season 26), Nikki Glaser (season 27), Lauren Alaina (season 28), Chrishell Stause (season 29), and Melanie C (season 30).
Even though he's considered a veteran on Dancing With the Stars, Savchenko has yet to win a Mirrorball Trophy in the series. His highest placements on the show were in season 23 and season 28 - both times, Savchenko placed fourth with his respective partners. In 2022, though, Savchenko is coming in guns blazing with Shangela as his partner. RuPaul's Drag Race fans are well-aware that Shangela is a dancing queen, so she has a great shot at getting very far on DWTS.
Scroll through to see sexy pictures of Gleb Savchenko - and make sure to watch him with Shangela on Dancing With the Stars season 31 when it premieres September 19 on Disney+.
