Sarah Paulson's New HBO Max Series
Sarah Paulson is playing another larger-than-life actual person. The Emmy winner is set to star in and executive produce the upcoming HBO Max scripted adaptation of their docuseries The Way Down: God, Greed, and the Cult of Gwen Shamblin.
Paulson is playing Shamblin, a woman who created Weigh Down Workshop, a Christian diet program. Later, she founded the Remnant Fellowship Church and was described as "a charismatic figure with a carefully curated image who was accused of emotional, psychological and physical abuse and exploitation for the church's alleged cult-like practices." Sounds like the perfect role for Paulson!

Harvey Guillén and Nicole Byer Set to Star in New Comedy Central Movie
Harvey Guillen and Nicole Byer are starring together with a cast full of comedy greats in the upcoming Comedy Central original movie Cursed Friends. The movie also stars Jessica Lowe and Andrew Lewis Caldwell and features Joey Fatone, Nikki Glaser, Kathy Griffin, Nicole Richie, Ken Marino, Rob Riggle, and an appearance by Will Arnett, who is producing.
The movie "follows four thirtysomething childhood friends who wake up on Halloween following a drunken reunion to realize that a predict-your-future game of M.A.S.H. (Mansion Apartment Shack House) that they played in 2002 is starting to come true for them in hilarious and disturbing ways. They must band together to help each other escape the wild fates that have turned their lives upside down -- from having 100 kids with the hometown loser to leading a cult to marrying NSYNC's Fatone."
