The weekly event will conclude its 12-year run tomorrow night at The Duplex in New York's West Village.
If you're a theatregoer in New York, you've likely been to The Duplex's weekly Broadway-themed open mic night, Mostly Sondheim. For over 12 years, connoisseurs of the stage have attended the Friday late-night event and contributed their vocal chops to the entertainment. This Friday, the event will see its final performance.
Nominated for three MAC Awards, Mostly Sondheim has been a time-honored tradition amongst the New York theatre community since 2004. In its 12 years, it's seen approximately 30,000 performances from loyal fans and Broadway stars alike. It's currently hosted by Brian Nash, Colleen Harris, and Emily McNamara.
The final Mostly Sondheim will include performances from audience members and both current and past hosts alike. In the past, the event has been hosted by Lena Hall, Marty Hall, and Danny Calvert.
Stop by The Duplex at 61 Christopher Street, Friday at 11:30pm for one last Mostly Sondheim.
