The Dustin Hoffman classic film is coming to the stage.
Tootsie is coming to Broadway, and today the show has announced its premiere date.
The 1982 film was nominated for 10 Academy Awards, including for Best Picture and Dustin Hoffman for Best Actor. It won one: Jessica Lange for Best Supporting Actress.

It follows Hoffman's character as he struggles to get acting work in New York City, before deciding to begin dressing as a woman and becoming a huge star.
The show will go up at the Marquis Theatre in New York on March 29, 2019, before opening officially April 23. Before New York, it will open in Chicago September 11.
Santino Fontana, nominated for a Tony in Rodgers + Hammerstein's Cinderella, will star in the show alongside Lilli Cooper, Sarah Stiles, John Behlmann, Andy Grotelueschen, Julie Halston, Michael McGrath, and Reg Rogers.
