Outfest held its fifth annual Trans and Nonbinary Summit this past Saturday!
The event was comprised of three programs. The first was a keynote and a panel, "Post-Pose: The Future of Trans & Nonbinary Storytelling," comprised of trans and nonbinary creators, such as Zackary Drucker, Our Lady J, Nava Mau, D'Lo, River Gallo, and Jacob Tobia. The second was a shorts program, along with a table read of season 2 of the Emmy-nominated series Razor Tongue with creator and star Rain Valdez. And then the summit ended with a fete for the distinguished guests, celebrating the creators and actors who are transforming Hollywood to be more inclusive.
In addition to the abovementioned names, these include Alexandra Grey (Empire), Angelica Ross (American Horror Story), Bowie Starr, Candis Cayne, Nava Mau (Generation), Rachel Leyco (Atypical), Scott Turner Schofield (Studio City), Sterling Jones (Razor Tongue), Trace Lysette (Hustlers, Transparent), keynote speaker Tourmaline, Ash Hoyle (Sundance Institute), and programmer Kieran Medina.
