The former View co-host shared a post about Payton McNabb, who speaks out against trans athletes.

Andy Cohen is calling out The View's former co-host Meghan McCain for a recent anti-trans social media post.

In an exchange on social media, the gay Bravo producer questioned McCain's "previous ally-ship of the LGBTQ community," saying he was disappointed that she shared an anti-trans tweet.

McCain retweeted a post on X about anti-trans activist Payton McNabb, who was invited by President Trump as a special guest to Tuesday's Joint Address to Congress.

"I have had the pleasure of meeting Payton - she is incredibly smart, strong and brave," McCain said. "Both she and her family have been through the unthinkable. Democrats defending young women suffering from traumatic brain injuries as a result of trans athletes is why they will continue losing every election."

In context, it seems McCain meant to say that Democrats are not "defending" these young women.

Cohen, who has had McCain as a guest several times on his Watch What Happens Live talk show, replied.

"Surprised you’re buying into the vilification of the trans community given the real problems happening in this country, your previous ally-ship of the lgbtq community, and the fact that this non issue affects about four people in this country," he said.

McCain then replied again.

"Surprised you’re okay with violence against female athletes. Peyton suffered serious brain damage - just one story," she said. "You have my cell, always happy to talk privately or publicly on either of our shows because these conversations are reductive to hash out on social media."

McNabb, 19, is a paid spokesperson for the Independent Women's Forum, a conservative lobbying group with ties to Project 2025 that "aggressively lobbies against transgender people," according to GLAAD.

She claims that after she was hit in the head with a volleyball during a match against a team with a transgender player in high school, she suffered traumatic brain injuries. This allegedly took place while she was a high school student in North Carolina in 2022.

Over 214,000 female athletes between the ages of 14 to 23 suffered injuries while playing volleyball between 2012-2021, with nearly every single one happening in a game with no trans athletes.

In February, President Trump signed an executive order titled "No Men in Women's Sports" that rescinds all funding from schools that "deprive women and girls of fair athletic opportunities" and defines U.S. policy as opposing "male competitive participation in women's sports more broadly."
