There are many reasons to look forward to summer -- blockbuster movies, vacations, warm weather. And there are even more reasons to look forward to summer in Las Vegas. But one of the best things about summer?
The pool.
And no place does pools like Las Vegas. While gambling, shows and restaurants are certainly a Sin City draw, during the summer months, it's all about the pool. From cabanas to parties, bottle service to DJs, the pools of Vegas are a summer must.
Here are the five Vegas pools that top our list:
1. Temptation Sundays at Luxor
There's a reason Temptation Sundays are number one on our list. It's the LGBT pool party in all of Vegas. Every week is a different theme, mixing it up for those who want to attend more than once. DJs, drink specials and a sea of hot bods in skimpy swimsuits. Definitely not to be missed. Can't make it on a Sunday? Don't worry, the pools at the Luxor are always a good time, with cabana and daybed rental available for all your daytime partying needs.
2. Tropicana Resort Pool
The recently renovated Tropicana has become a gay hotspot, hosting major events for Las Vegas Gay Days and Las Vegas Pride. So, needless to say, the Tropicana's pool is a place to see (and be seen). Slip into your most revealing trunks and make your daybed or cabana reservation, enjoy your favorite pool-side cocktail and even play a round of swim-up blackjack.
3. The Marquee Day Club
The Marquee Day Club is not only a gay-friendly hotel but, it's very much like the Marquee nightclub only during the daytime. The hotel has many pools, hot tubs, and cabanas that are not only beautifully laid out but feature a DJ playing bumpin' music. The luxurious Marquee Day Club is best known for its rooftop pool, where the party is always poppin'. If you want to truly be a VIP, rent out a glamorous cabana in the exclusive cabana renters area.
4. Foxtail Pool at SLS Las Vegas
The SLS Las Vegas is one of the partner hotels for Las Vegas Pride for a reason. Its upscale finish combined with its luxury amenities make it a truly memorable place to stay. Or, at the very least, a truly memorable place to enjoy a day by the pool. It's a slightly more relaxed vibe, so if you're hoping to enjoy warm weather and beautiful company, this is the place for you.
5. Wet Republic at MGM Grand
This is one pool party not for the weak of heart. Grab your sexiest pool wear and prepare yourself for the mother of all pool parties. Featured musical guests have included Steve Aoki, Kaskade, Tiesto and more. Partygoers can enjoy drinks from the 95-foot marble bar while swimming in two saltwater pools. Oh, and champagne showers are definitely a thing here. Like we said, this is no small affair.
There are dozens of other pools and pool parties to enjoy during the hot summer months in Las Vegas -- these are just some of the hottest ones you can't afford to miss. For more Vegas travel tips, go to VisitLasVegas.com.
