Priceless costumes and artifacts of the legendary performer return to the Las Vegas Strip in a pop-up exhibition at the Cosmopolitan.

We can't seem to get enough of the man who couldn't get enough of anything. The most flamboyant showman in the history of Las Vegas (the world?) is finally returning the Vegas Strip. Well, sort of.

Riding high on the popularity of the HBO film Behind the Candelabra, Liberace fans around the globe can get another glimpse into the life of Las Vegas's most extravagant showman. The Liberace Foundation for the Performing and Creative Arts, which oversaw the former Liberace museum (returning to downtown LV in 2014), presents "Too Much of a Good Thing Is Wonderful: Liberace and the Art of Costume" at the sensational Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas.

The six-week exhibit at the Cosmo features many of the iconic showman's best-known possessions, including a wide array of stage costumes, including his epic fur coat with a 16-foot train, jumpsuits bedazzled beyond belief, and his beloved rhinestone encrusted piano, complete with matching car.

Almost 30 years since his last Vegas performance at Caesars Palace in 1986, Liberace in all of his ornate and over-the-top splendor still knows how to draw a crowd. The showman famously boasted that, "Too much of a good thing is wonderful." Apparently these days, too much of Liberace is not enough.

"Too Much of a Good Thing Is Wonderful: Liberace and the Art of Costume" now open. Hours are Monday through Sunday from 3 p.m. to 10 p.m. For more information, please call 702-698-7640 or visit cosmopolitanlasvegas.com.
