Man Crush Monday: Laith Ashley De La Cruz

MCM Laith Ashley de la Cruz

The trans model, star of a Barneys New York campaign, has garnered a huge social media following.

Transgender model Laith Ashley De La Cruz got his break in Barneys New York's landmark advertising campaign, Brother, Sisters, Sons & Daughters, in spring 2014, just months after he began his FTM medical transition.

Shot by Bruce Weber, it featured 17 transgender stories from models with diverse backgrounds, including De La Cruz, whose profile "exploded" when fellow trans activist Laverne Cox reposted one of his photos on her Instagram account. We're guessing his six-pack had something to do with it:

Clearly diggin this mirror lol. FYI, I don't normally sag my pants. I was getting ready undressed here.

Now 26, the hunky Harlem native, who boasts Dominican roots, a degree in Psychology from Fairfield University, and more than 41,5000 Instagram fans, is currently working as an insurance navigator at Callen-Lorde Community Health Center, a medical facility for the LGBT community and people living with HIV/AIDS.

Huge shout out to @quingtux and @noahsartark for the awesome sleeveless tee. #TransIsBeautiful #pow #tpoc #tmoc

As for his love live, we hear that De La Cruz is still single... and looking.
