Cire Trudon opens a new boutique in New York

The gold standard when it comes to interior scents, Cire Trudon, created in 1643, has reached cult status among fragrance aficionados and interior design lovers. The brand's new boutique, inaugurated this week in New York's Nolita, should please Trudon's fanbase, with wall-to-wall mirrors and baroque red lacquer paint -- recreating a mini-Versailles of sorts in the heart of the city.

Cire Trudon

The diminutive space carries all of Trudon's classics, available in three sizes, as well as room sprays, scented matches, and colorful candles sticks, displayed next to antique vases and vintage objects, which are also available for purchase.

Decor Candles Trudon

New to the store are Trudon's latest winter scents -- Gabriel, Gaspard, and Melchior -- available as gold leaf candles and travel-friendly votives, the perfect stocking stuffers. Most spectacular, the wax busts, depicting the likes of Napoleon, Marie-Antoinette, and (less expectedly) Benjamin Franklin, will definitely create a fuss at your next dinner party.
