How time flies. Dior Homme creative director Kris Van Assche and photographer Willy Vanderperre have been working together for 10 seasons now, and yet, the Dior man hasn't aged a bit. In fact, he seems to be getting younger and younger.
To succeed to Boyd Holdbrook's "American in Paris", Dior recruited not one, but four men to front its new spring campaign: The xx's singer and lyricist Oliver Sims, Belgian painter Rinus Van De Velde (who both star in the first half of the campaign), as well as Alain-Fabien Delon, grandson of French actor Alain Delon, and model Victor Nylander, whose shots are still under wraps.
The four men also star in campaign films lensed by Vanderperre, in which they play versions of themselves in a creative mood. Named after the xx song "Stranger In a Room," the campaign introduces a more intimate visual universe for the French luxury house.
"Each character embraces qualities they are known for in their actual lives," Kris Van Assche said about the campaign. "These are the men we feel embody something of the spirit of Dior Homme today."
