And another one bites the dust!

Donald Trump winning the presidential election was a kick in the teeth, but it’s made even worse by the fact that we keep finding out that celebs we like have secretly been MAGA fans all along.

First, it was gay adult film star Devin Franco announcing his love of Trump in the comment section of someone’s post on X (formerly Twitter), and now singer Nicole Scherzinger has done the same thing, and we are so disappointed.

Scherzinger, who won over the gay community in the early 2000s when she one of the Pussy Cat Dolls, and cemented her place in queer hearts by playing Norma Desmond in the current Broadway revival of Sunset Boulevard, a role originated by Patti LuPone.

On Thursday, just two days after the presidential election which has left the LGBTQ+ community reeling, Scherzinger was set to take the stage for that night’s performance of Sunset Boulevard when a screenshot of a comment the former Pussy Cat Doll left on one of Russell Brands Instagram posts started going viral for all the wrong reasons.

The British comedian (and alleged serial sexual abuser) posted a photo of himself wearing a red MAGA-style hat that reads “MAKE JESUS FIRST AGAIN” along with the caption, “God Bless America.”

Scherzinger horrified fans when she commented, ”Where do I get this hat!!!?”

The pro-Trump Instagram post and Scherzinger’s comment have been making the rounds on social media after Time Out New York theater editor and critic Adam Feldman took a screenshot of her comment and posted it to X before she deleted it.

The post shocked he gay fanbase and had them questioning the love of the singer.

While people were caught off guard by her seeming support of Trump and the MAGA movement, it shouldn’t have been too surprising that she would like this particular post, considering how religious she is. Scherzinger was raised Catholic and in 2016 she said she almost didn’t take the role in the TV adaptation of Dirty Dancing because her character gets and abortion, “It was like a crazy thing because, my family, my Papa’s a Bishop and my family’s really hardcore against abortion,” she told the Daily Mail, adding “I just want to, you know, encourage everybody to keep your babies.”

Regardless of her religious affiliation, it’s also surprising to find Scherzinger hanging out in Brand’s comment section considering the comedian-turned-conservative-spiritual-hack was accused of sexual assault and rape by several women last year. Although he denied all of the allegations, the women’s stories were detailed.

He’s also not the only conservative person she’s interacted with online; she also liked a post by Robert F. Kennedy Jr. where he talked about his pledge to “restore free speech, end the forever wars, and protect children’s health” when Trump’s in the White House.

As the screenshot started blowing up online, Scherzinger’s gay fans took to X to express their disappointment in the star in the funniest ways possible. From people saying that Patti LuPone will “drag Nicole Scherzinger by her vocal cords” to people joking that her Tony Award nomination will be taken away, the gays went in with no mercy, and we can’t stop laughing. Listen we are NOT playing around anymore, OK?
