Actor Jonathan Bennett and television show host Jaymes Vaughan married in March 2022 in a beautiful destination wedding in Mexico. The pair initially met in 2016 while Bennett was promoting Halloween Wars on Celebrity Page TV, where Vaughan hosts. (Celebrity Page is currently in a business relationship with Pride Media, the parent company of Out.)
While on set, Bennett asked for Vaughan's number. Vaughan proposed in 2020. He did much of the planning while Bennett was away filming The Christmas House, the Hallmark Channel holiday film he appeared in. For the proposal, Vaughan composed a song.
For the Mexico wedding set at Unico Resort, Bennett had his friend Bryan Tyler Cohen, serve as officiant. The grooms wrote their own vows and Jackie Cox made an appearance. They also exchanged rings from Kay Jewelers.
"It was honestly a dream wedding!" Bennett said. "We kept having to stop and remind ourselves that we weren't on a movie set, but this was actually our real life. If you had told me this was one of my Hallmark movie sets, I would have believed it, It was that perfect."
For the actual ceremony, they wore black tuxedos from Express -- as did the entire wedding party who wore tuxes regardless of gender -- and for the reception, they switched to white tuxedos from Robert Stanley Bespoke. For their first dance, they played "Our Song," which Vaughan wrote and recorded for Bennett and later 100 guests watched a firework display set to the soundtrack of The Greatest Showman while professional dancers performed a choreographed number.
