Out director Roland Emmerich's films are mostly known as the big, blow-em-up apocalyptic blockbuster variety, such as Independence Day or 2012. We've been following the production and filming of his latest drama, titled Stonewall, since its infancy, but the publicity campaign recently released more images of the actors and behind the scenes moments that we think everyone should be gobbling up.

With Stonewall, out this fall, Emmerich is hoping to create the definitive story of the 1969 Stonewall Riots in New York City for a new generation.
Danny Winters (played by Jeremy Irvine) is a fictional character caught up during the Village scuffle and is forced to leave behind friends and loved ones when he is kicked out of his parent's home and flees to New York. The film also includes Jonathan Rhys Meyers, Ron Perlman, Joey King, Jonny Beauchamp (Penny Dreadful) Caleb Landry Jones (Banshee in X-Men: First Class), and is sure to rile people up.
